The weigh-ins (and tomorrow night's fight) are taking place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pacquiao and Mosley will fight at the welterweight (147 lb.) limit, with Pacquiao's WBO welterweight title up for grabs.

Pacquiao is 52-3-2 and the current WBC Super Welterweight World Champion and the WBO Welterweight World Champion. He is the first boxer to win the lineal title in four separate weight classes. He hasn't lost since Erik Morales took a unanimous decision over him in March of 2005, and he obliterated Antonio Margarito over twelve rounds in Cowboys Stadium in November.

Mosley is 46-6-1 with 1 no contest. He drew with Sergio Mora in his last fight in September. He dropped an uncompetitive decision to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in May of 2010, with his last victory coming over Antonio Margarito by TKO in January of 2009

VALENCIA CELEBRATES GRADUATES BY PUTTING THEIR NAMES ON LYNX BUS

Valencia Community College usually celebrates its graduating students by running an ad in the newspaper. But this year, college officials said they wanted to recognize students in a more visible way. You’ll see the names of honors graduates in red. Valencia wanted to do something special, officials said, because this year’s graduating class will be the last at Valencia Community College. The institution will change its name to Valencia College in a few months.

They’ve posted the names of all 7,192 graduates on a Lynx bus with the congratulatory message: “The 2011 Valencia Grads are Going Places. Congrats!”

“We hope it also sends a strong message of encouragement to all those who see it and connect Valencia with the place to start right and finish big,” said spokeswoman Carol Traynor.

The decorated bus will be parked outside the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee on Saturday morning so students and their families can pose for graduation photos in front of it. The commencement ceremony starts at 10 a.m.

Afterward, the bus will be carrying passengers for two months along the bus route known as Link 15, which includes a stop at Valencia’s East Campus, located on North Econlockhatchee Trail in Orlando.

Matt Buchanan — The Infuse 4G doesn't feel quite as spectacular as I remember at CES—it's missing that feeling of heft, that feeling of quality construction, subbing in a less dense plastic—but the 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen is still a rich-hued stunner, and its 8.99mm of thinness effectively camouflages the serious size of the phone, which inches (literally) into mini-tablet territory.

It's all still powered by a single-core 1.2GHz processor, with an 8MP rear and 1.3MP front camera. The 4G on here is, um, more 4Ger than AT&T's other "4G" phones, with 21Mbps on the downstream, and HSUPA enabled from the get go, unlike the Atrix. On the downside, it's still running Android 2.2 with the older version of TouchWiz, same as the current Galaxy S variant on AT&T, the Captivate. But this thing massive thing's out May 15 for $200 w/ contract.

With the second-best odds in the 2011 Kentucky Derby, Uncle Mo has an excellent chance of emerging the victor and entering the winner's circle at Churchill Downs on Saturday. That is, if he's healthy and if he even races. Both are questions with just one day to go until the race and it's no certainty Uncle Mo will even race in the Kentucky Derby -- his trainer will make the final decision sometime Friday morning after weighing the options and taking into account how he looks.

Turns out Uncle MO was dealing with a gastrointestinal infection that's required antibiotics and slowed his training ahead of the grueling derby at Churchill Downs. Because of the infection, and less than 100 percent health, there's about a 50-50 chance Mo may never get out of the gates in Saturday's Kentucky Derby. And if he does, nobody has a clue whether he'll be fit enough to mount a serious challenge.

To see Uncle Mo falter down the stretch at the Wood Memorial, his final tune-up ahead of the Kentucky Derby, was a surprise to horse racing enthusiasts and casual observers alike. He had yet to lose a race and was dominant in steam-rolling the competition in every other race he'd entered ahead of the Wood Memorial. But a disappointing third-place finish took Uncle Mo from heavy derby favorite to question mark by the time he hit the wire, and nobody was quite sure why the dominant horse faded.

“This isn’t going to be a Saturday decision,” he said. “We owe it to the racing fans, we owe it to the public; it’s not our intention to drag this out.”

Uncle Mo's veterinarians and trainer will reported make the final decision on whether or not to scratch him from the race on Friday. Owner Mike Repole said he had no intention of making a last-minute decision on Saturday, but also sounded less than confident Uncle Mo would be able to race in the derby

We'll keep an eye on Uncle Mo's status as more becomes available. If he scratches, it will likely have a profound impact on the field and the odds, and Dialed In may become even more of a favorite. With a morning announcement expected, we'll know soon whether he'll be able to give it a go or not.

FUTURE OF OIL

NEW YORK - Oil futures staged a rebound Friday, a day after their dramatic plunge below $100 a barrel, following a better-than-expected April jobs report. Brent crude on the ICE futures exchange advanced $3.22, or 2.9%, to $114.02 a barrel.

Light, sweet crude for June delivery jumped $2.36, or 2.3%, to $102.18 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The contract reversed earlier losses after falling as low as $94.63 a barrel intraday.

Economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires had forecast payrolls would rise by just 185,000. The March data were revised upward slightly to show an increase of 221,000 jobs, from a previous estimate of 216,000.

The Labor Department's upbeat report on April nonfarm payrolls pulled crude out of its lows. The agency said nonfarm payrolls rose 244,000 last month, with the private sector posting its strongest employment gain in five years.

"The sentiment has changed from yesterday," said Raymond Carbone, president of oil brokerage Paramount Options. However, other points painted a mixed picture. Unemployment reached 9%, the Labor Department said, marking the first time monthly unemployment rose in five months.

Such fears were the primary catalyst behind Thursday's sell-off, which spread across the commodities markets. A weak U.S. jobless claims report for last week and less-hawkish-than-expected comments on monetary policy from Europe's top central banker triggered the initial bout of selling, and the decline gathered steam as the day went on.

Crude prices gave up 8.6% Thursday, marking the biggest one-day percentage decline since April 2009. The Nymex contract settled below the psychologically important $100-a-barrel mark for the first time since March.

"The sell-off yesterday has likely removed a large portion of the risk premium that we believe has been embedded in oil prices, which could suggest further downside may be limited from here," the analysts said in a research report.

Market participants remain uncertain over whether crude prices have yet found a floor. Analysts at Goldman Sachs, however, said they were "wary" of future downside following such a dramatic decline.

Front-month June reformulated gasoline blendstock, or RBOB, recently rose 6.21 cent, or 2%, to $3.1575 a gallon. June heating oil climbed 5.12 cents, or 1.8%, to $2.9381 a gallon.

Well, thankfully, Portal 2 isn't the game that's going to cause this, which is remarkable when you consider it's arguably the sequel of 2011 with the toughest act to follow. The first Portal, released in 2007 as part of the Orange Box, was a short, ingenious puzzler wrapped up in first-person-shooter mechanics, underpinned by a darkly comic story about scientific research taken to dangerous extremes. The game seemed like lightning in a bottle and a sequel sounded unnecessary. Still, Valve has managed to go one better than what its team created before, and then built on its impressive foundations.

But if the history of art and entertainment has taught us one thing it is this: if you habitually make genius look easy, audiences and critics will round on you if you stumble, even more viciously than they would have done if your track record was of a mediocre quality. Valve's winning streak has to get snapped at some point, doesn't it? And if it does, the knives will be out in force

Walls are crumbling, test chambers malfunction and every room the player moves through is riddled with smashed windows, natural overgrowth and broken machinery. In the opening stages of the game, players are introduced to Wheatly, a stammering, motor-mouthed droid voiced by Stephen Merchant, and reacquainted with the Portal Gun, which creates interconnecting portals capable of bending distances, and physics, in their environment. Portal 2 kicks off with player waking up in the Aperture Laboratories, the human behaviour research facility from the first game, and finding out very quickly that things have gone haywire. Aperture is a wreck: without GlaDOS – Portal 1's female AI antagonist – to run things, the facility is in an advanced state of disrepair.

They're also soon reunited with GlaDOS, who takes umbrage at their presence and decides that a new round of potentially lethal tests is in order.

As the player advances through the Apeture Labs they're introduced to new items that the research facility has created to exercise their grey matter and potentially kill them off. There are Hard Light Bridges, which can create walkways or block off the sensors of lasers and gun turrets. There are Aerial Faith Plates, which fling the player through the air.

While the set-up will sound incredibly familiar to Portal veterans, Portal 2 is hardly a retread of the first game. Yes, using the Portal Gun to navigate one's way through every new environment is the core premise of the game – and cubes, gun turrets, floating platforms and pressure pads all make a return. But Valve has added some mind-bending mechanics and tools to the mix.

There's Propulsion Gel, which allows them to zoom across the floor, building momentum for jumps and portal leaps. Puddles of Repulsion Gel can create areas the player can bounce on– and the higher the ledge they drop from, the higher they'll fly through the air. White Gel can be sprayed on to surfaces to make them Portal Gun-friendly. Excursion funnels are blue tubes of anti-gravity, which gently transport the player from one end of the map to the other, and they too can be redirected and repositioned with the Portal Gun. Each new item is introduced gently, to let the player become familiar with its capabilities, and then Valve starts ramping up the difficulty.

The puzzle rooms are incredibly well designed in that there's no hard and fast rule with the game's difficulty curve. Once the tutorials are out of the way, it's down to every individual player's desire to break the code on each environment, which allows them to move from the entrance to the exit. Even if one player finds the solution to one particular room obvious, this doesn't mean that everyone else will, and some puzzles may take up to hour to solve. All the while GlaDOS pours scorn over the player's efforts, with a stream of insults that are petty, vindictive and immature – made more hilarious by her robotic, sing-song voice.

While it may sound strange that a game offering such a successful solitary experience as Portal should include such a mode, it's actually delightful fun. Once again, the puzzles are well-balanced and brilliantly constructed and, GlaDOS has a new collection of insults.

The game's main campaign is longer than in Portal 1, and arguably better too. Once that's over and done with, however, players can return to Aperture in the multiplayer. This mode is a standalone story starring two cute droids, Atlas and Peabody, who are sent testing by GlaDOS, and the series of puzzles they have to navigate depends on them working successfully as a team.

The humour in Portal 2 is another trump card in the game's well-paced, engrossing and unsettling story. Without giving too much of the game's plot away, the player will find Portal 2 funny throughout, but also faintly spinechilling. GlaDOS and Wheatly are by turns funny and monstrous and the Aperture Labs take on an increasingly oppressive atmosphere as the player ventures deeper into the facility, learning more about its origins. Meanwhile, the unseen character from the first Portal is still lurking behind the scenes, scrawling paranoid messages and horrific cartoons on the walls

Valve has created a masterpiece in Portal 2. The depth of content, the mind-bending mechanics and fantastic experience are almost certain to satisfy ardent fans of the first game; and to all newcomers to the series, it's as simple as this: prepare to have your mind blown. Over-and-Over again.

After suffering a personal data attack affecting 77 million users, including stolen credit card numbers, the Playstation Network is not only involved in a $1 billion lawsuit in Canada, but has a lot to answer for in US courts.

After suffering a massive outage, the Playstation network is back online, reports gaming enthusiast blog Mastegar. Now before you get your hopes up, it is important to note that most, not all, of the PSN features are actually running at the moment.

Mastegar reports that while the Playstation network is back online, there will be an order by which the functions will be activated, For starters, Sony advises that they will provide online gameplay for PlayStation 3 and PSP and access to account management features sometime this week, but features like downloadable games-shop won't be available until later this month. Furthermore in a means to apologize for the PSN network being down, Sony is giving users 30 free days each PlayStation Plus premium services, as well as some free downloadable content.

Lastly, all PlayStation 3 users are required to download a system update and change their passwords on the original PlayStation console.

Belgian Malinois Goes to Super Hero Lengths to Survive House Fire

They weren't messing around when they said "good things come in threes." First, there was the Royal Wedding to boost the overall morale in a few countries. Now there's Mia, the amazing Belgian Malinois, who managed to protect herself from dying in a fire by hiding in a bathtub filled with water. Is it believable?

We all think dogs are smart, but Mia is crazy. Not only did she know to run down to the lowest level of the house as firefighters doused the home with water -- because that's where the water was dripping so she knew to get into the bath-tub, which had filled up. And she had to open four doors to get there!

I can't imagine ever coming home to a house engulfed in flames. Never mind the fact that there would be nowhere to live and all the memories that would be lost, my dog! ~Nothing~ would be more heart-breaking that that. The Brumbys, the owners of the South Carolina home that burned to the ground, must have been so thrilled to learn that their little baby Mia had survived the atrocity in spite of the grim odds.

When firefighters brought the doggie out of the house, she was wet, dazed, and covered in soot. "She literally had steam coming off her," Chris Brumby said. He also said he wasn't all that surprised that she survived:

She acts like a human for most things. And that kind of showed it. She knew where to go and hide.

That is one smart doggie you've got there, Chris Brumby. I don't think that too many dog owners, such as myself, are all that confident that their pups would do the same.

It's tragic that the Brumbys lost their home, but imagine the delight they must have felt when they learned that Mia was okay. Chris stated:

That was a pretty special moment for us, because she's definitely part of the family.

A National Day of Prayer (Cinco de Mayo)

Today, on Cinco De Mayo and as part of the 60th annual National Day of Prayer in the U.S., thousands of intercessors will gather in Dallas and Mexico City and at the U.S.-Mexico border to cry out for a breakthrough of God’s power. The focus of our prayers will be to take down the drug cartels and secure our nation’s southern border against drug trafficking and violence.

We are believing that God will throw fire on our sacrifice as national and state prayer leaders from across Mexico and the U.S. join us for a simultaneous prayer gathering with other National Day of Prayer events in cities across the U.S. In the coming days, weeks or months, we believe we will see drug-trafficking operations exposed and dissolved, prisoners of the drug war set free, and incidents of violence, kidnapping and extortion dramatically decrease. We need your help and participation during this critical time in the history of Mexico and the United States.

The violence along the U.S. southern border has escalated to unprecedented levels. The governments of both nations have worked diligently to stop the problems, and yet they still exist and are on the rise. We recognize that the drug trade is an issue of supply and demand. Both countries are culpable, and repentance and restoration are needed on both sides of the southern border.

Why have we chosen the name “Cinco de Mayo” for the initiative?

Cinco de Mayo, or the "5th of May" in English, is often mistaken for Mexican Independence Day. It actually commemorates the day in 1862 in Puebla, Mexico, when 4,000 Mexican soldiers defeated the French army of 8,000. This victory kept Napoleon·III·from supplying the Confederacy in the U.S. Civil War for another year, thus helping Union forces secure victory over the Confederate troops at Gettysburg 14 months after the Battle of Puebla, and essentially ending the Civil War.·

The United States later proved it too was a good neighbor after the French had taken over Mexico City and installed Emperor Maximilian. The U.S. provided both political and military assistance to Mexico to expel the French. Providentially God has made each nation part of the other's destiny.

As it was with the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, so may it be once again today, on May 5, 2011. Let our nations make history together, restoring peace and prosperity within our borders. Join us in praying for justice to run down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24). Let’s make spiritual history together!

APPLE'S NEXT iPhone 5 (The Preview)

What new features and innovations will Apple will offer in the next model of the iPhone? A patent application here, a parts order there ... this week on Upgrade Your Life, Yahoo! News' Becky Worley puts together the clues plus some refined guesses, to bring us a preview of Apple's up-next iPhone 5!

What will it look like?

There have been some recent rumors that the phone could get noticeably thinner, even tapering toward the bottom. The square edges could round out, making it look a little more like an iPod touch.

Last year's model, the iPhone 4, had a glass back-plate that could get scratched. It is possible that the iPhone 5 will have a brushed metal back-plate, which would help keep it from scratching and make the phone lighter as well.

Besides that, we have heard that Steve Jobs isn't a fan of Physical buttons; the iPhones only has one at front. The iPhone 5 might turn that one physical home button into a Virtual on-screen home button, which would get out of the way while you're watching videos. This would give it a four-inch screen, half an inch bigger than the iPhone 4's. But another rumor has the display bumping up to only a 3.7-inch screen, and the home button getting slightly larger.

Remember, none of above info is coming from Apple. All are rumors, speculations and guessing, so take it with a grain of salt.

What performance upgrades will it have?

It will have a faster, most probably a dual-core processor, plus more ram and an improved camera – and it might be able to take 8 megapixel still pictures and record 1080p HD video. You'll be able to play more realistic games, switch between open apps more quickly, and keep more web pages open at once.

Beyond that, you can bet that Apple does not want a repeat of "Antennagate" and will be paying special attention to the iPhone 5's antenna to make sure there are very fewer connection issues.

Will iPhone 5 have new features?

We already know what features the iPhone 5 won't have a removable battery, a memory card slot, and support for Adobe Flash videos. These features are commonly seen on other phones, but are not what customers expect from Apple products.

One feature that Apple recently filed a patent on is being called a "Smart Bezel" by rumor sites. These are areas just outside the screen that can light up and are touch sensitive. They could be game controlers or battery indicators, or let you use new finger-swipe gestures to control iPhone

Another feature is that the iPhone 5 will get induction charging. That's where you plug in a separate charging pad, and your iPhone recharges just by touching it.

One other possibility is that they might add NFC (Near-Field Communication). This is a technology that would let you pay for things by waving your iPhone near a sensor, sort of like what some 'wave-to-pay' credit cards can do today. NFC is already in widespread use in Japan, and is also being tested in the US. Apple may decide to hold off on it, though, until people are more comfortable using their phones to make payments.

When iPhone 5 will be announced?

The iPhone 4 was announced at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference last June, though, so the iPhone 5 might debut at this year's WWDC ... or it might not appear until next year. Who knows?

Our best guess is that it will be expected in Q4 of this year – and they might choose to announce it at the yearly iPod event in September, for instance, which would mean that it would be available in time for the holidays.

It's possible that Apple's next big iPhone announcement will be for a 4G Verizon iPhone, instead of the iPhone 5. Networks like Verizon are rolling out super-high speed, 4G wireless infrastructure, and competitors' phones are already taking advantage of it. Don't expect Apple to lag behind them for long!
